What have we made today?
First of all, we made a surprise text, I think we should be used to... after 2 lessons, surprise!! Later we went on with our booklet,  we learnt about the Thanksgiving day and Wendolin helped us with her personal experience and her amusing company. Today was her last day.

What should we do for the next day?  (Monday the 3rd December 2012)
One more time, we will use our booklet.

As a teacher in primary school, I had to be responsible of a class and that meant that I had taught language and mats... and after an english course in which we learnt some english resources in primary school I found out this marvellous song. Later I'll upload other great hit from Mr Duey, but at the moment... enjoy this rap!! ACTION!!

Fractions, if it’s improper you have to change it into a mixed

number is bigger than the bottom so when you take the bottom fit

it into the top one. So say that the bottom is 3 and the top can be

17. How many times does 3 fit in between? Well let’s see, that’s

5 take the 5 write it down big on the line. With the 2 left over from

the 17 you must now put that 2 on top of the 3 and, wow, the

mixed number is found. It’s that easy, listen to the song and you

believe me, put your own numbers in the place of what I’m

teaching.

Fractions, I bet you wonder how to get a percentage, divide the

top by the bottom number. For example, 5 over 10. 10 can’t go

into 5 so add a zero to the 5 and begin. Because 10 can go into

to 50 just fine, but you need a decimal point before the number of

times. So I, I guess we’re left with ‘.5’. Now take the point by the

5, move it 2 to the right and what you have is 50 so it’s 50

percent. When Mr. Duey takes you through it then it all makes

sense. It’s that easy, listen to the song and you believe me, put

your own numbers in the place of what I’m teaching.

3rd Workshop BLACK FRIDAY & CYBER MONDAY

In our very private class (only three people), our teacher suggested the topic about Black Friday and about celebrating Christmas in the ordinary schools. I attached the pictures of the sheets given by Encarni. This time I don't add any vocabulay because we were speaking about the readings and there wasn't any diagram.

        Please, if you are interested about coming next Thursday... pay attention because our teacher will be in Germany. And that means that we will be free. Have a nice weekend!!

Homework 21st November 2012

What have we made today?
We start with a video-listening activity. If you weren't in class, don't worry, you can do it. It is the new booklet. ELS VIDEO QUIZ: GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.
Our teacher recommend us this address to workout our listening. It also includes transcrips and related activities.
Moreover, we did the reading activity "SUDOKU MIND GAMES" (in the booklet too). Afterwards we listened the speech about love and feelings followed by a bizarre election of our class representative (delegates). Finally, we did and checked exercised 1,2 and 3 from page 44 Student's Book.

What should we do for next Monday?
A leaflet, about 160 words length. More info in page 44, exercise 4 (follow the tips given in exercise 3).  Next Wednesday 28th our teacher will be absent.

What have we made today?
First of all, we checked the exercise from the new booklet and from page 41, Student's book. We watched a VIDEO

and filled the gaps of the page CELEBRITIES: PLASTIC SURGERY (on the new booklet). We checked and the keys were:

No exercises, feel you free to study all what you want. By the way, next Wednesday 28th November Encarni won't be in class, but she threatened us telling that we will work more even that if we were in class (joke!). See you around!!
